I promised myself that i would be a frequent blogger but true what they say, "dont make promises you cant keep!"
So recently me and my friends booked a chalet and get down to business! It was at aloha loyang pasir ris with me and the mll kids and it was so much fun because i felt so.... at home. The feeling of being surrounded by those similar to you is surprisingly comforting. It was truly super melayu. I arrived early with my senior girls, since i was in-charge of checking in. Check-in was at 3pm but we were early and the place was cleaned and ready so we got in there and then! Me and the senior girls opened the doors and curtains and let the air in and for a moment we sat in silence and enjoy the freedom we have longed for so long. Then it got boring and we switched on some music, and created some laughs to occupy the time we had. Then slowly the party started going with people trickling in and i felt so blessed for the great weather that made it perfect for us to do barbecue. The boys put on the charcoal and the girls worked on the fire. Soon after most of the food were cooked, we took turns to change and put on our best clothes!
The event even had a theme of "nostalgia". I was feeling pretty meeehhh days before that that i didnt bother looking for clothes that matched the theme. So anyway, "nostalgia"=1990s and earlier=flower power. Since i had flowery stuffs, i'd wear it. But when i was changing then i realised what i had done. My attire... included clashed prints. I..couldn't...believe...myself.... It came out too flowery but whatever, i didnt have any other thing to wear. I put on my confidence cape and walked out like hey i look amazing LOL. So we had our dinner and quietly sat at corners, scanning what everyone else were wearing. Everyone made an effort and it was pretty heartwarming heh. Since the girls overnumbered the boys greatly, the boys eventually went to the back, near to the pool, to engage in their talks while the girls stayed in and strut our stuffs. We put on ridiculous songs and laughed so hard to what the boys can only imagine what we did hahahaa Night finally came and i had to leave cus my parents strictly puts a NO for overnight stays (i secretly think its because they are scared smthg would happen to me lol) But i didnt retaliate and so i just went home.
Nothing special happened that nights, not like i was hoping. This heart has been pretty vacant but unlike yesteryears, i dont feel any need to fill it up. I'm happy with my family, my sisters and cousins and friends and amazingly, the God's love that i have. I'm pretty sure God has something good for me so i will wait :)
The next day was spent at expo with the Halal Food International which i would secretly look forward too everytime simply cus of all the HALAL food on display. After which we were at the airport to send my domestic helper back home and thats when my internship starts.............
So its been a week now and we've been camping over at my uncle's place just because. Its amazing here cus there's my cousin and we pretty much have fun all the time. KN and the family has went off for their month long holiday and it hasnt even been a week since they are gone but i already miss them. Like i wanna drop by at their place and then i remember they're not home. They've always been around but i've always been busy with studying and now that im free, they're away......
Next week will be a whole new different time at a whole new different place with a different crowd and i cant wait, and after that, the real deal starts. I'm not sure what i'm getting myself into but i'm pretty excited.
There are pictures i'd like to share but these group photos contain pictures of my dearest friends who are not fully covered up, as in their aurat(hair) and i feel that it wouldnt be nice to put it up.
Thats about it.
