Since this is on blogger and mainly what is state here is through words, i think this would make an appropriate start for the 700th series post (ceh)
So ive been seeing this quote twice and today it really spoke to me, thus this blog post shall be a reminder to me.
“Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.” —Pearl Strachan
I know words are powerful and people say action speaks louder than words. But honestly i think its just like a whole essay. Words are like the opening and the action shall be the series of body paragraphs and the ending will ultimately still be the words. It wraps up what the person wanna get through to you. Like an example, lets say teenage love (a very easy, i-can-relate example). A friend tells you a guy likes you and wanna go out with you and you say yes and you have a lovely time with the guy and he shows in all his actions that he is really truly interested in you. Then one day, you see him walking and laughing with this other girl. And in any normal situation, you're bound to get jealous. But your friends remind you its nothing, comfort you that he likes you and not the other girl. But you still dont believe them. And you go home feeling heartbroken, drown yourself with sad songs in the ride home and then drown yourself in tears again when on bed. You feel so low and you try to get back up and you realise the only, only thing that can make you feel better ever again if the guy tells you himself that he likes you, admit it to you, face to face, with words, the way he has never done before eventhough his actions already clearly shows he likes you........ Thus thats my example. And plus, this is further substantiated by Gossip Girl. I admit i have stopped following the show after season 2 because it was abit too long for me to follow already but lets look at Blair, all she wants is just for Chuck to "say the three words and I'm yours". So there, i think that words is as important, if not more, than action.
And that leads us to the quote “Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.” —Pearl Strachan.
Tomorrow I am going for a 'battle', to seal the end of a 'war' that has been going for so long. In every 'fight' of course you want to emerge victorious and taste the sweetness of the win. I prepared myself well, imagining the challenges I may face.
And then you come in with those words and it tore me.
And then you come in with those words and it tore me.
But now im calmed and already told myself i'll do it and you did not say those words and i did not hear it so tomorrow i will win.
Words, truly have a way of breaking you. And building you again.
